every time i start DaOC client and try to connect to the update server this error occurs :

The Instrucion at "0x009c211b" refered memory at "0x00b94fbc".
Memory couldn't be "written".

i press okay and try to update and it goes on, when it has passed the update check the same error occurs and again i press okay and get into the login screen... but then when i login and selects which server i need to be on it just open up a black screen and doesnt go any further...

anyone familiar with this problem or just know a way to get it out of the system ?

( the error is directly translated from danish to english so dont know if it's exactly the same on other com's )

Sounds like either you graphic card or RAM is acting up.
Usually when you get these errors, you can just google it and find a quick solution like, "Reseat the RAM" or "Reinstall video drivers", but i cant find anything on this. Are you sure those are the right codes?

And have you checked if you have the latest drivers?
When did this start to happen? Have you had this before? Have you installed any new hardwares/softwares lately? Do you have some kind of protection against virus/spyware?

graphic card is pretty old, but i know others with the same card is playing it :]
have just installed the newest drivers, both for direct x and for my gfx card, so that should be in proper order...

yes, it's the exact error i get when i open, have translated it though but they are the right codes that are popping up....

nothing new has been installed recently and no virus/spyware progs, but could be that i have some spyware blocking it i dont know ?

Have you been able to play with no Errors before? If your running Windows XP, a System Restore might be a good idea.

What graphic card are you using? Tried different DAoC Clients? Camelot/SI/ToA/Catacombs. Also, try running Windows Update.

It sounds more like a RAM/Video error than spyware/firewall tbh.
If all the software stuff dont work, try reseatting both RAM and Video card, and see what happens. Might want to check BIOS for errors.

Aye, that card should be enough indeed.

I wouldnt recomend reseatting RAM if you havent done it before, but make sure you have one hand on the powersupply while you reseat the RAM. Just plug the RAM out, and then put it back in. I suggest you get a friend to do it if your not sure, they can be tricky. Same thing applies to the Video card.

If this still dont work, get a 3D Driver Cleaner, and uninstall all graphic drivers. Then reboot, and install the latest GeForce Detonator drivers.
