I used to be gay, but I gave it up, was too sore

It suddenly smacked me like a ton of bricks how much i had been missing out on, and although I have met someone else, it'll come to an end quite quickly as she goes to uni this Saturday (sadly 'cos I do like her). However, it doesn't replace my love for my ex but I can smile and know that perhaps six months down the line maybe we might be able to try again without this "I wonder what it's like being with someone else..." hanging over both our heads. I haven't missed my ex a single bit for the past couple of weeks, but I do often think of her fondly as I still see my long term future with her, but just not now, maybe not for 12 months, who knows.

It's been fantastic being with someone else, but the novelty does wear off and the routine of life seems to establish itself fairly quickly.
