Dime

Have to disagree with you there, having been to several metal / alternative clubs watching live bands in a bid to find my musical roots I discovered that most of these individuals are students who think themselves above everyone else, however their common sense glands seem to have been removed. They find meanings in songs that have no meaning, you'd know what I mean if you'd heard some of the crap I have from these local bands.
Eventually I decided I was into punk (Yes I know blink 182 aren't punk anymore before anybody says anything about my sig) also have a liking for this so called nu metal. But I also like stuff like daft punk, delirium, and push. I cannot stand (c)rap, garage UK or otherwise and country and western *shudders*, this is my opinion but I don't have a go at people for their tastes in music.
Also I have gotten into many a fight in these alternative clubs and have been quite sucessful, you know why? Coz you just rip the piercings out of their face, floor them and leg it before the doorman/ junkie monkeys grab you.

P.S if this post don't make sense thats becase I didn't read dimes posts fully.

Edit./ Oh and by the way, one of these local bands I mentions was JJ72 before they were signed, perhaps you've heard of them.

Agreed feeder rock but seven days in the sun is not better than the new one.

I actually agree with some of the things that you say mate.

There are those who see strange meaning in nothing, and these little kids into the nu metal with all the metal tops etc make me sick. :/ Not so sure about people thinking themselves above others but im sure it happens somewhere, usually i find everyone quite open and cool with everyone else.

It has been drawn to my attention that bodhi actually does like garage music.

I'm going off it now, it's starting to get far too cheesy. DJ Piep Piper got to number 1 and then it all went pear shaped. I much prefer Drum N Bass now.

I like some US Garage, and Speed Garage rocks :)
There have been some UK garage tracks I've liked, like MJ Cole - 'Sincere', and um, thats about it, but its way too commercial right now, with all the Misteeq/Liberty/Sweet F. A./So Solid Twats/Pied-Piper crap clogging up the charts with cliche after cliche of talentless crap flowing out off radio speakers everywhere, and a stale, corny 'sassy' image to work around.
The media will hate it in a year from now, and hopefully it'll go back underground and rework itself a little, just like Trance did at the end of '99.

Oh and for the record... I do not like slipknot in their current incarnation, their very first album called mate feed kill repeat was actually quite good and showed off the fact there are musicians under all that getup. However i doubt anyone here will have actually listened to it, so I'd not put comments about things you dont know again. Thx

Nah, slipknot have always been shit, heard loads of their earlier stuff and seen that shitty welcome to our neibourhood video. Their original fan following were just as bad as the "slipknots" of today, my friend Dave went to one of their live tours and said everybody was wearing boiler suits and stupid masks, him and his friends when as skaters, because they are skaters.
Also for a band with 9 memebers their talent is very thin on the ground, bands like feeder, greenday, and blink 182 have shown that you can produce some great stuff with just 3 members of the band. Slipknots singer has a very good vocal range, he just chooses not to use it and screams, the guitarist hasn't really come up with anything too complex, and that clown just pisses me off.

just got paul van dyk's polictics of dancing

ace. First class really is. summerises the proper non commercial side of dance. The true stuff...

btw, i think anybody who doesnt like trance has listened to the commercial stuff, the stuff you find on kiss ibiza and stuff like that, the stuff i like is the deep proggy trance / proggy house

totally dfferent to trance / house

i wont bother saying trance and shit anymore then, ill just say proggy...
