Hi, i need some advice.
Ive got level 45 with my skald and what used to be a great deal of fun is now turned into major chore. How do u lvl between 45-50.
Im not in a guild so that dont help (was in a guild that died a death of inactivity) and i am sick to death of waiting to get into a lair group ("Yes im the list keeper, what u would like to be on the list?, sure u number is 265 tank, wait on that hill there and ill msg i sometime next year"). Now i would of given up by now if it was not for the fact that i really want to get into RvR, i loved bg1 and bg3. You cant really RvR any lower then 50, well u can but all u are is a walking realm point. Any advice is welcome:)

Solo...

or perhaps find other leveling spots and try and set up a group there. if the list holder is nice he may give you some names to msg.

I would rather chose to xp somewhere else than wait 4 hours+ for a Malmo group.

hi!

The best thing to do is try to get into a guild. Then cos u r 45 u will be able to get on all the df seal farms etc. That is the fastest way to lvl , and the most fun!.

But the guild is the most important thing. Once in one cos u aint a lowbie u can go on guild events.

Get up early. :)
You could get lucky and be among the ones to start up first group (assuming it ever stopped - can't tell these days, been a while since I went to lair in random groups)

If that doesn't work I suggest finding a larger guild to join, then suggest DF money/seal farming, usually always a couple level 50's who can use some cash so you can get some PL there (turning off autosplit tends to help on peoples motivation - /autosplit s)

If that doesn't work either.. tough luck
You'll have to resort to soloing then. :/

Option 1:
/who 45 49
/send randomUnguildedHealer, Shammy, Warr, whatever Hey. You and me where made for each other. Wanna share some quality time in DF over a bottle of wine and some Nightmares for the next 2 weeks?

Option 2:

"Setting up level 45+ regular Exp group.

<details here>

PM me here if interested."

Or go join a guild as said.
Might be easier.

there arent really any problem to get in a lair grp IF you can get up early, do that a few times and you are 50 very soon

Scotty.. I know the feeling.. my answer.. go to si or anywhere and quest like a mofo.. then go solo somwhere.. and farm money.. craft to keep you buisy from time to time when you get pissed at the rate of xp.. works for me.. and 2 levels in 2 weeks isn't bad at this lvl.. and well.. one more's coming up soon... (btw.. Freetha dinged 47 last night.. gratz to me.. :)))

find diamond seal groups in DF, ask to tag along o alliance hunts, etc.

I remember asking to tag along for 7 legion raids while I was going from 44-50
Each legion raid got me about half a level. Just ask nicely if a group has a spare spot. Some will say no, but just keep on trying.

otherwise, join a guild that do regular hunts in DF or SI. Level 50 will be np then ;)

In my experience Lair lists are never reliably kept, cause they change hands many times over the course of a day. Best thing to do (at least for me) was to actually go to Lair (preferably at a time when theres not many ppl online) and /yell lfg at location - worked every time (or at least i never had to wait for more than 20 min or so) - there's ppl leaving all the time and the ones that stay are keen to continoue right away so they dont wanna wait til someone runs all the way from civilization to Lair.
Then when you do get in a grp: Stay in it!! For a good long time. I did levels 44,45,46,47 in one sitting myself (took me 32 hours) - really really hard work staying awake the last hours but it was worth it! And dont worry - you will fall into a trance after about 10 hours or so ;) wont even notice time going by. Also has the added benefit that ppl will recognize you and be more willing to let you in their grps later (provided you didnt fock up to much ^^).

Otherwise - SI - specially Trollheim is good to exp in at around level 45. Get a grp to Olen the barkeep and go crazy (never seen more forgiving mobs in my life hehe). You can chain them all day long with their excellent respawn rate, and youll get nice drops from Olen.

Good luck!

http://forums.barrysworld.com/showthread.php?threadid=58133 get a guild first m8, a lot of the time at places like lair its not what you are but who you know! Make friends and ppl will get to know your reliability as a char and a team player and invites will be more apparent.
Solo I wont recommend unless youre an unemployed no hoper with too much time on your hands. Else it will take you an age to do.

If you have the expansion pack there's plenty of places in it which give xp as a good a level as the Lair from all accounts.

I dunno, I've never been to the Lair and I'm quite pleased about that. My last 4 levels have mostly been got from bashing SI side, specifically at the treehouses just outside of Hagall (which is never ever camped - doh maybe should have kept quiet about that!), in Iarnvindiur's Lair (top quality xp and boatloads of drops) or in Trollheim (urk avoid the nasty roaming Frosta Orm and Dargar they nasty).

The quests in SI give huge xp too. At level 49 finishing the Catlas Downfall quest gave me 3 billion xp which was basically a blob and 0.3 of another one. Oh yeah, and I got two jolly nice bracers out of it too.

DF is also a great place for fast xp depending on your spot and the mobs your soloing. Farming the gress room if you can get their first is easy money, easy seals and easy xp.

But, out of all of the advice given the best is still find yourself a good guild to join. Being in a guild means you never have to worry about a group, you can 9 times out of 10 find at least one or two other people to group up and bash with.

now that your heal-song has gone up from 9 to 36 skalds should be solo-machines :)
