I can't honestly say I hate the germans, we have a couple in our clan and they are the nicest people you could hope to meet although they own my arse everytime we play :0(


I do however hate the attitudes of the german sports players.

Plus we have a git in the office who is supporting Germany (he's English).

I don't _hate_ the German team per se, although I give a rollocking good cheer when we bash jerry hun and his jackbooted sausage-eaters, however, you cannot help but have a sneaky admiration for them.

The issue of penalty shoot-outs for example, they were stay-behind-after-class swots and practised, then we winge whenever Gareth fucking Southgate toe-punts a wet slop of a penalty straight at the goalies feet.

The Germans have determination, skill and a fair degree of skanky luck, but all the time we wish we had those qualities too, the English hatred is simply born out of jealousy.

I want Germany to win the cup, then in two years time England will whip their leaderhosen-wrapped bottoms in Euro 2004 on their home ground, and that will be sweet

So your blindly assuming I am one of them ? I leave my opinions on the "regular" football with the other hooligan/geeks on the appropriate forums, its only circumstantial that international football competitions will get discussed elsewhere like here, if I remember this site is generally about computer games.

Why do you have a problem with people dreaming their team will oneday triumph ? I rather though that was the essence of a devoted football supporter, I've been a Hammers follower since early childhood but that doesn't stop me hoping one day they'll top the league.
