He is great. I don't agree with everything he says but his talksport show is brilliant to listen to, and he stood up to Jeremy Paxman, so he gets props in my book. ;)

The sooner the idiots who voted him in see this the better...

George is one of the best MPs in the country imho. How anyone can say he's a "waste of space" (which was the most affectionate quote) is beyond me.

I've lived in Glasgow (south) for 3 years and I don't even fuking know who my local MP is. The MP from my last address was a blackhole too. George has the balls to say what he thinks on local/national/international stages, but some folk just don't like him because he's too left-field for them. Personally, I think everything he says is spot on, and if you don't believe him (or that he's genuine) then fair-do's, but what's the loss? Do you want 500 MPs all wearing grey suits chanting their 2-party mantras?

Where the fuk would British politics be without the piss'n'vinegar of protests, parlimentary shouting matches, and, the odd spat of civil unrest?

Anyway, MPs have always been self-serving, to an extent. They get paid. So do you, for your job. Are you a major player in your field? He is. Out of 500 MPs, how many could you name? Or, with how many MPs could you accurately pinpoint their political views (the most important part)?

After 9 years of "Leadership" I couldn't even tell you what Blair & "New Labour" stand for. They just seem to be Tories PtII The revenge of the middle-classes (or something).

To my mind you seem pissed-off that George is an effective MP, it's just that he doesn't represent you or your views. Well, tough titties wee man!

Catsby could name twenty six at the moment. He thanks you for asking.

Exactly the same reason why I respect him. I also have a grudging respect for John Prescott, even though I disagree entirely with his politics I do admire his willingness to get stuck in. The egg throwing incident was the icing on the cake. I also admire Boris Johnson :)

He might be a publicity seeking bullshitter but lets be honest, can you name me an MP who isnt? Its kinda a requirement for the job isnt it.

That aside he is the only MP unafraid to tell it like it is when it comes to international politics and his viewpoint is largely correct.

So regardless of if he fucks dogs or not, if he stood for MP in my area I would vote for him :) Simply because the other candidates are bland faceless twunts.

Whilst I respect your right to your opinion, I disagree 100% on everything you've said :)

He can "tell it like it is", only its not "how it is" its just how he thinks it is, which is a load of bollocks. The man would continue to bend over to terrorists until we had sharia law in the country too.

I dont belive he is effective for one minute. I dont think he is spot on about anything. He says a lot of stuff with great conviction but its usually a load of rubbish. I can't see what he has achieved at all? Can you tell me what he has done?? Has he actually changed or achieved anything?

Thank god he doesn't represent me. I wouldnt want such an arse to be my representive especially since I believe he is wrong in most things he says.

Yes he has the guts to stand up and make himslef heard but he doesnt get anything done.

The only thing he has managed to do is get into the celeb big brother house and make himself look more like an idiot than anyone else.

Dear Home Secretary,

I have been watching open-mouthed the altercation you have provoked in East London with your ill-judged, patronising and provocative foray into territory you clearly barely understand. There is much that will be said about the child-like - Patricia Hewittesque! - performance you gave your audience. I want to concentrate on the altercation.

The man who harangued you - Abu Izzadine - is a well-known and violent extremist from an organisation your own government has proscribed. Yet he was allowed within punching distance of the British Home Secretary. How ? Why ?

This is the same man who led a group of fanatic thugs in the brief "hostage-taking" of myself and my daughter and several innocent members of the public during a general election meeting last year. This is well known to the Special Branch and senior police officers in East London - the very people in charge of your security today.

This man has appeared on many occasions on television and in the press as a dangerous extremist who has praised the terrorist attacks on July 7th and 9/11. His comments were amongst those adduced in your own government's case for the proscription of the Al Ghuraba organisation.

There are only two conceivable explanations as to how this man, at this sensitive time, was allowed to hijack your Potemkin Village performance today.

Either our police and security services are so fantastically incompetent that Bin Laden himself might have slipped in to beard you at your podium. Or someone somewhere wanted to engineer precisely this confrontation to show you in a certain light and to portray the Muslims of Britain in the most aggressive violent and extreme way possible, as a justification for the utterly counter-productive policies you are following.

Which is it ?

Because, as you know, I am not a believer in conspiracy theories I am leaning towards the first explanation. If I am right then yet again the Metropolitan Police have proved almost comically incompetent. The sight of a small, slight, helmeted police officer being dwarfed by a giant ranting fanatical thug - talk about a thin blue line! - as all that stood between you and a violent attack will certainly have provided food for thought and encouragement to the country's enemies. Yet again the justification for continuing in office of Sir Ian Blair must be called into question.

But if I am wrong, and this all turns out to have been some Nixonian "dirty tricks" operation..then of course the questions raised are much more profound and dangerous

I await your response with interest.

Yours sincerely
George Galloway MP

Who's the sensible one and who's the extremist? I thought the guy was quite reasonable, and the woman was shouting him down for most of it, when he tried doing the same Vine interupted him.

Definately an unequal representation of viewpoints.

Hmm I had only listened to the first half, but basically he interupts her he gets interupted, she interupts him and she's allowed to shout over him.

I don't agree with his viewpoints but I really hate the way it was produced to allow that bias. That woman is a total bitch also.

Also her reactions to his comments are "Get a life" she can't argue anything for shit. Why is she even allowed on the radio?

Her comments are so typical of idiots "If you dont like it dont live here".

Well if you dont like how something is done in a democracy you dont have to fuck off, you get to vote against it. Mega moronic bitch.

I didn't think she came across as a bitch at all. She attacked his viewpoints, he attacked her personally, via her standard of faith, her appearance, her morality, and took to belittling her as a way of belittling the concept of moderatism in the muslim faith.

Thats pretty much the way I saw it. He clearly saw her as an inferior being, both because she was female (doesn't Sharia law treat women like objects?), and because she didn't follow his idea of what a Muslim should be like.

Note that he didn't attempt to defend the actions of the loony who had a rant at John Reid.

Agree with Dams too. The man is a cock. He just shouts and ignores any viewpoints that aren't convenient to him. We've seen it before anyway.

If you watch Ming's Lib-Dem conference speech and listen to what he says about the Middle Eastern situation and the approach this government has to terrorism you'll find that it mirrors what George Galloway says almost perfectly.

It's not just angry scots who feel that way.

Yes, George Galloway is a cock. Unfortunately he's also correct in much of his assessment.

BTW - I've never voted lib dem :)

We've been through this before. Noone is in the right in the Lebanese affair. Everyone has given the other side damn good reason to hate each other. There is no 'He did it first'. This isn't a playground and if you view politics like a 6 year old then you shouldn't even be able to vote, let alone be an MP. To say that the Arabs are completely right in everything they do like GG does is fucking moronic. Taking sides won't end anything. He's just drinking in the applause.

Twat.
