why do i do 540 dmg with my cave shammy bolt wen dmg wen i do SHIFT + I is only 175 ://

i can 1 shot /level paladins

It could have been a lucky crit, but
iirc, the way spell dammage is calculated, if you have full spec, your cap, is the delve dammage multiplied by 3.
There may be other factors effecing this like MoM, WP etc
So your cap should be 525, so you either got a crit or you have extra pie or RAs to make you hit harder.

I do not think shaman bolts/DD´s will crit, feel free to correct me should i be wrong.

However with WA the duration based attacks such as DOT and Diseases can crit.

Reason i dont think shaman bolts crits is since they dont have a focus line. i recall reading it sometime in the past.

Yes a 24cave shaman with a SCed gear can pwn in bg1. Single line dot can kill a caster, a dd or bolt + dot is 100% shure to do so. infact a bolt + dot can kill anything u face in BG1. The AE dot will make just about any BG1 zerg panic. hint ( AE dot + disease ).

Why you do high damage with bolt i do not know, it is the same with all spells, they do more dmg then its value tells you it should.

Shaman is SEER piety = more power wont increase damage, again correct me if i am wrong. This is what i always have been told. ACUITY buff wont do anything in particular for a shaman.

i go MA so my dots r uber etc

and i tested it and i think it was a crit coz i do random dmg :/

my pie is high as i am in toa armour but i dunno still i fthat effect thanks alot all
