We did it a while back with CSS and it worked quite well, I reckon it would work nicely if we tried it again, would be good if we could get a semi-orginised team going this time though, last time it was kinda a massed zerg of people with only three of us on vent (me tilda and cal).
I'd definately be up for this if its on CSS, lets win this time though!!

Sorry for being such a noob here... but what is there difference between CSS and good old CS (I assume you're still talking about Counterstrike)?
I used to play a lot of CS many years ago on lans and online, but never with vent etc...kind of miss the adrenaline rushes you could get!

CS is the old pre-steam one.
CSS is the post-steam Counterstrike Source. ie the one most people use now.
I'm also game, although agree we should make vent/ts mandatory as it helps so much. We should probably also have a training session to discuss tactics etc.
Personally I'm happy with CSS, although if enough people have TF2 I love playing that so it might be a bit more fun? CSS is quite "hardcore" and can be not much fun if you're against a really good team. Although TF2 you can still get utterly wiped by a good team, its easier to make a comeback imo.
I have the photoshop files for the US and THEM logos, if anybody else wants to see if they can make a better logo for the FHOT feel free.

CS:S is like CS 1.5(I think?) with HL2 GFX. Hitboxes are a little easier in some circumstances, the levels have a bit of a revamp, some of them change a little in layout but mostly they're similar to the original - dust, dust2 & most of the classics are the same, assault has been changed quite a bit.
I didnt do much with the old CS, but I got adsl at roughly the same time I got CSS so I've done alot more with it.
Many people look back at CS and go on about how 1.6 was much/is much better, and quite alot of people still play it, I dont know about them, but I enjoy CSS far too much to change to anything else

Maybe best to run a TF2 and a CSS one sepeartely?
I personally cant stand TF2, I know a few here wont have it either, most people who have TF2 will have CSS though.
If we do, it maybe best not to run the two seperate matches at the same time though, before we had CSS and some other game running at the same time so people had to choose iirc.

Thats what I meant ^^ CSS's easier to hit than in the original
but i never did much with the original cs so was just going on what I heard Let me know if you want a hand with sorting this, sounds like Trem and throd dont mind do much if you want to use the KEA server for CS, provided we get enough notice
