General help...with consoles, binding etc

Hello.
Could anyone out there give me a few tips for playing SoF2?

I'm a bit useless when it comes to the console & configs. I've managed to add a few things to the config (you know basic stuff like 'saying nice shot' etc..) but I tried to change a few and my old bindings are still showing up.

I'm also confused about how many configs there should be (which should I be changing?) There's at least 3 I've seen Shall I delete them all to see what happens?

One of my pet hates with the game is picking up and switching to weapons I dont want, how do I disable this in my config?

Regarding the weapon switch you need to go to options and change auto switch to NONE, also if you go here http://forums.ravensoft.com/ib/ikonboard.pl they have a lot of useful info on binds and configs etc.
