Gels - are there any ones tht wash out easily/don't leave ur hair mega sticky?

Shockwaves and VO5 both say they don't leave your hair sticky and wash out easily but tbh I find it's a lie.

Any recommendations? Is wax better?

I prefer fiber wax thingys (don't really know what they are called). Gel is to sticky/glossy and wax sticky/never gets out. Imho ofc

Shockwaves go matt clay does the job for me.....leaves your hair in a shit afterwords but washes out fine i find.

I've got V05 styling wax at the minute, you can hardly tell its in your hair (in that if you run your hands through it you don't end up with sticky hands) and holds just aswell.

Fibre wax was the best for when i styled my hair, no nonscene, in and out without much effort. Just rather to much effort to do spending like 1hr in a mirror doing hair = loose.

i use fructis gum works well and washes out just with water trying the manga head putty version atm seems quite nice aswell seem to use less and it lasts longer

vo5 matt clay. It's great and washes out with normal shampoo.

oh also vo5 matt clay, is IMO, just as good as the ridiculously overpriced saloon clays you can get. I know, I've spent money on them.

Gel is disgusting stuff don't use it
as the other guys said fibre putty/wax is the way forward, pretty magical stuff, you just rub it in your palms and fingers and then work it through all your hair and stays well, doesnt make your hair solid, gunky or anything and i find i shove it in and it pretty much styles itself and my hairs different every day
American Crew is my favourite stuff but thats £10 a pot, Lee Stafford is pretty good too can get that in any boots, pink tub.

All depends on your hair though, I used to use that fructis gum, smells amazing but just isnt strong enough for my hair as its really thick and grows fast so quite heavy, the fructis gum is more for some light definition say if you have choppy kind of sitting hair to mix it up a bit.

I use one of these clay's aswell... had a box for over 5 years and it hasn't gone bad either... can recommend it.
