This kind of stuff is amateur compared to Anime and conventions, an online DAOC funeral, that Quake 2 wedding, guys shitting in their room because they can't miss 2 minutes on Everquest, a guy I once encountered who downloaded all the DVDs he had on the shelf behind him because he couldn't be bothered to walk over and get them, and much much more that's out there.

I feel I ought to stand up for nerds - being a sci-fi buff... Look how many people discuss how and why a team won a football match (basically because one team scored more goals) and people endlessly mull over the fictional worlds of Shakespeare until their nads fall off - I think these Star Wars people *realise* it's a fiction that they're discussing; but it can be fun to be nerdy...

Anyway, that's my $0.2's worth:)

And yet it's still amusing...
