this is a genuine error message i got in XP about a year ago, just a bit before my PC died

not really very helpful though...

It's funnier when the messages are real.

Much like one I think Gombur sent me ages back, was for the Nvidia control panel and it was a tiny little ok box that said "There has been a catastrophic failure".

Sounded very sinister in it's tiny ok box.

At least they are decent enough to warn you before the computer is screwed.

There is one in Nero or Vista (only seen it when Nero crashes on my Vista) that says "I should not be seeing this message" makes me laugh every time.

I remember in old CS, when you had a network error on LAN, you could get an error like the follwowing:
