Gas-Powered Pistols

Does anyone have any experience with these things? I'm considering buying one worth £135, but I'm not really sure about their reliability, power etc. Here's the one I might get: Desert Eagle.

It has the velocity but not the distance. Are they worth spending a lot of money on? Any information on these would be appreciated, thanks.

they shoot little ball bearings, yes they are cool for a while and have a resonable range.
They use something called hop-up this spins the bb backwards as it comes out effectively making it "swing" upwards.

if you live in the UK i would say no dont buy it, they are illegal soon
was a hand it in and not get in trouble type thing a while back so not sure if the law to make them ban has already been passed

airsoft is cool i don't do it now due to wife and baby, but hopefully will go back to it.

this is my collection

for pistols, try and get an infinity 5". They are generally better made than the Desert Eagle and are just as poweful.

They are all legal as long as you follow these rules:

single shot/semi automatic : max power 500 feet per sec
automatic: max power 328 feet per sec

Also never carry one is public or you will be confronted my armed police (it happened once to a friend of mine who was waiting outside his house to be collected, when going to a legal shooting site).

Oh and to original poster, if you want a pistol I'd go for one made by KSC, they are supposed to be good. Hm, or possibly Western Arms. Not completely sure about pistols so go to the forums on the site I posted and ask. The quality varies alot, so don't waste your cash on poor information.

I have decided against buying the gun for now. Since my garden is the only place where I will be able to fire it without fear of being shot by armed police, and my garden is very small and shitty, there isn't much point. I may change my mind, but I probably won't. A slow painful death with a bullet in my chest does sound rather appealing, but I think I will wait a while.
