GameSpy - Battlefield & Medal of Honor?

G'day,

Yesterday [Sunday] I opened up GameSpy only to find it was hanging and wouldnt connect to anything, Chat, Game Browsers or even the http browser. Also the PlayerSpy menu wasnt connecting.

I then tried the in-game browser on both Battlefield, Quake Series [Arena etc] and Medal of Honor only to find also that this wasnt displaying any servers.

I then checked Enemy Terrority and that worked perfectly fine, I could see servers and connect fine ... BF1942 and MoH were still not working.

I noticed both the BF1942 & MoH in-game browsers are powered by GameSpy .. so is this the link? .. If GameSpy is failing does the in-game browsers that are powered by GameSpy also fail?

Seems strange to me!

Got any ideas? Anyone else have a problem or similar?

I used to use GS but now I, like many others, use ASE:

Ive got ASE and had also tried this [going through the process of elimination] but had the same problem, no servers were being listed on any of the games I tried.

... Ive spoke to a mate today who said that he had the same problem yesterday also so maybe it wasnt just me!

I was trying this around 11:00am GMT, my mate around 16:00PM GMT

I guess no-one else did

anyhoo .. its fine now so must of been the master servers playing up.
