Gamespot have a round up of games that diont require "killer" hardware. we is nice if you dont have a powerful PC or maybe are stuck with a puny laptop for a bit. the test system spec they used are :- "Athlon XP 3200+ system with a DirectX 8-compatible AGP Radeon 9250 video card and 256MB of system memory, and an Athlon 64 2800+ system with a PCI Express DirectX 9 GeForce 6200 video card and 256MB of system memory". they found 256mb was draw back on most games.
shame they skipped classics such as Syndicate wars, Flashback, theme park, Dungeon keeper, privateer 2, quake, system shock 2, monkey island, MDK, Total anihilation etc all would work fine on even lower specced systems.
