Games run in black and white!

installed farcry, it runs in black and white. PS runs in pink. only thing that works is CoD!. everything is updated, card is 9800pro. is there something i am missing?

Farcry in black and white? Damn technology moves so fast these days it's already a retro game.

monitor refresh rates? cable connected correctly? monitor not sitting on speakers or TL lighting?

hmm changed something and its fixed it. also my cpu was at 50C ! put a 12" fan there now and it doesnt go above 35 the fan isnt even loud either. quieter than a case fan infact.

hehe ok sorry i didnt feel like going to into detail. it was the smartshader option turned on to black and white. turned it to off and now everything is normal again.

Heh, I was just gonna suggest that.

I never did get the point of smartshader. Why do they insist on wasting their time with "Make everything look a bit stupid" buttons. If i want interesting visual effects, I'll glue big magnets to the side of my CRT.

i didnt even know what it did before i switched it on. i thought it would be some kind of shadow thingy to make shadows look better. instead it turns the whole screen purple or something.
