Gameport to USB converter

ok, i have a Thrustmaster Modena 360 Ferrari sterring wheel for the PC, however for some reason my PC does not appear to have a "gameport" for the plug, i dont really know where to go to buy one or if you can even get one

anyone have any idea's?

Cheap/Old Soundcards usually have the gameport, as for a gameport to USB converter, I can vaguely remember seeing one in the past, and a quick google reveals: http://www.consoleplus.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=460

but even modern soundcards still come with a gameport, though usually ona separate cable to the soundcard, like for my Audigy 2

im using the onboard sound card (have an ancient sound blaster card in old machine, might have to use that ) though my onboard one is much better than that old piece of crap

Had the same fun with my "new" PC. Seems they expect everythuing to be USB now, so no more gameports. Meant my old Joystick and (incorrectly delivered) wheel had nowt to plug into.

You can find them gameport-USB converters in several places. However, do read the small print cos from what I saw none of them guranteed they would work with all devices

I swapped the wheel for the right one and bought a new joystick, seeing as my old one was very old anyway.... was a good enough excuse to
