Game keeps crashing in emain - new game.dll at fault?

Hi

Every time I go to Emain and I run for about 2 mins into hib land, bang - the game crashes to desktop.
Has the new game.dll that got autodownloaded tonight got problems? :/

I was even starting to have some stability in gamecam recording. Bloody Computers.

aye- only in emain - happened twice to our group - (mids were camping the water for when we relogged lame fuckers!)

crashed directly to the desktop - tried to log back in ....recrash to the desktop

Happened to me 2ice as well, also to a druid in my group. 3rd time i logged on, no problems tho, can't explain it, but happy it didn't repeat.

Was well funny, killing floating hibs whilst they ld. Was only the few times i saw them "float" past the bridge :touch:

Try playing in Toa mode, ive had no crashes in emain.

You reckon anyone actually tests things before making them go live? Or do no developers play using Cata Client? ^^

it could always be a corrupted sector of the file, delete it, re-patch with a fresh .dll and try again. If you still crash then you can complain.

i bet it happens to people who play op/stealther classes only, to avoid stealthzergs... Good job \o/

remember it was problems with crashing in Cata client on us servers in 1.73 aswell

Yep, never happened to me before this:

[7-06-2005] Maintenance tomorrow morning

A maintenance is planned for Wednesday, June the 8th in order to prepare our servers for the move to version 1.75. This operation will also fix crash to desktop issues that some players using the Catacombs client have encountered and update some of the language files.

Now happens sometimes in Emain.

I first started to notice summat strange in the afternoon when i ported to our keeps in hibland i went ld straight away - i thought it was my network card or summat like that, but it went away, then later on came back as random crashing to the desktop!

near aerus haven. It also crashes in the inconnu crypt, I was stuck there
yesterday and could not get anywhere at all.

Im not sure this is related to your problem but for me its guaranteed to be
a driver/GFX card problem that surface on certain spots in the game.

5 ppl of the group im in atm just all crashed about 15min ago Ofc us that survived died shortly after.

Also another albion group had the same problem at the time it seems.

ive seen a problem near Hoipes and everytime I run over it, I instally crash to desktop

Well cant log in to Chanter.. it stuck in trees in emain and everytime i try to log in BOOOM back to desktop time..

Seams to be to many for harddrive or memory errors.

Try change gfx settings to classic water and trees and see if that helps.
Try disable all sound/music in game as well.
Change fullscreen/window mode.

Do u all have the same type of gfx card?
I have a crappy old ATI 9600 and no problem at all. Slow but safe.
