Game Instability

Erm, my machine keeps freezing whenever I play Enemy Terroritory. I don't know what's causing it but it is quite annoying I've got a feeling it may be some setting. Also Quake 3 OSP seems to freeze only when I use a certain config, so this makes me think it could be some kind of graphics setting as both games use the same engine (i think?). Any ideas?

Specs:

A-Bit nForce2 NF7 (onboard sound + lan)
AMD Athlon 2000 XP
Sapphire Radeon 9700 PRO
512mb DDR 400

Ave Temps: Case Ave 32 | CPU Ave 45
Max Temp: Case Max 35 | Cpu Max 52
