Game defaulting keys, resolution, windowed mode etc

I've had this a couple of times since playing on Dyvet after Mythic had taken over and provided free access for a month.

Last time it happened, I went LD on both accounts, then upon trying to login again, all the quick logins (account names and char/server names) had been wiped.

Then once loading up it opened in full screen, with music volumes etc at full blast.

It basically seemed my local config had been wiped and DAOC was defaulted.

So therefore my keys, forward/back/strafe etc etc were all default.

Obviously dont want this to happen again, as its a pain in the arse to resort keys and settings, anyone have an idea as to why it might be happening ?

Something prolly is saving (or is trying to save) your settings when you ld. You just close DAoC instead of waiting for the timeout screen?

That is if it only happends when you ld. Anyways i hade it happen to me aswell, once or twice.

I had the same issue. Wondered why all my quicklogins and settings were gone.

Although I do keep a copy of the settings folder for backup so if it happens again, I can easily fix it.

So basically if you can't prevent it from happening, make it easier to recover
