Gaheris/Mordred

So as everz pointed out they're merging the 2 servers and having open world PVE and confining the PVP to a BG and possibly a few more areas, wondering if anyone was interested in trying this as i'm considering renewing my USA account to give it a go.

I've already got shit loads of characters on Gaheris as I went through a PVE phase so i'd consider powerleveling people if there was enough interest along with toa and all that malarky.

In short you can PVE for realm ranks then goto a BG/PVP area and mess around/have fun whatever you like, I can't imagine the server/cluster appealing to people who like pvping for realm points but i'm sure there are alot of you out there thats just looking for quick pvp fixes/fast realm rank gains and so forth.

I've more or less got anything required powerleveling + farming items including:

Necromancer (toughness5) + Cleric bot + Menta bot/animist abs bot
Paladin/warrior (dex5/mob5/16% block) + ice wizzie + Cleric bot for fins powerlevel
ML9 Caba (wild minion 4-5/jugger2/mcl2) + Cleric bot + Menta bot


Edit: if anyone is wondering how pve to gain rp's works dont hesitate to ask and i'll explain it fully.

You should have just started on Gaheris Cornokz only /level 20 but you get 1 realm skill point per level after 20 so effectively you get free rr4 or so just not the +skill + very very easy to get into pl grps on gaheris.

I'll renew my accounts on wednesday for 1 month to see how things are, we can sort some sorta pl grp out then or so forth.

Aye you could do, get yourself a template sorted for it don't have mine atm although I could give you it once i'm ingame, uses no rogs so should be easy enough it has - +11 wep +11 parry +11 shield 10% parry 10% block (16% if you include mythrian later on) 101 dex, 85-95 str, 85-95 con, 75-80 qui, 300 hits, crush/slash/thrust 26%+, all magics 25%+.

Also powerlevel to 49 doesn't take to long, once you're 49 you do commander quests and you can go from 49-50 within 30 minutes most of them are just delivery quests that you can port directly to so its quite easy/fast.

Above all that your only trouble will be cash I guess so get metalworking upto 1000+ asap just do what I did and get wep craft to 350, armor craft to 350, fletching to 300 makes it mega easy and costs next to nothing. i've got an lgm alch/sc'er on my 3rd account I don't have lgm wc/ac/tailor tho.

Nah won't find a dedicated xp grp tbh everyone just powerlevels on gaheris, try later on when more americans on.

No idea yet, only thing I know is that it will be selected areas and not all over the place like mordred is. I guess you could compare it to a freeshard with pvp areas.

Never played on a freeshard (no fun if it doesnt "count") But it kinda sounds
like how it is on "normal" servers

Well think of it like this (or this is how I think it is anyway)


because they're merging a pve server with a pvp server naturally they can't upset the pve players by putting pvp everywhere right? so all over the world/frontier zones its still pve but they're adding battlegrounds and most likely cathal valley among other things for pvp zones so everyones happy.

The thing i'm more worried about is how they're going to balance out PVE items... there are items known as Relic fragments that have extremely overpowered /use on them (the one my paladin has at present absorbs 2000 damage for 5 minutes) effectively giving my paladin close to 5k hp ><

A duo with those fragments on would be unkillable, because its not a pool it pops out its 2000 per person so 4000 extra if 2 people have em :/ they'll 100% have to disable it in pvp zones tbh.

That said I think i'm going to wait and see what they do before I renew cornokz, I don't fancy wasting £24 or so opening 3 accounts to then find out they're not going ahead with it.

And this merge is quality, mord has had a constant 50-60 people on all week.. action is prep is great.

I read on VN boards that they are getting their PvP back on for
the merge, apperantly they are looking forward to steamroll the
