I have a dual P3 rig... well it was dual till for some reason it refused to boot up.

My initial thought was to strip the rig down and find the problem through means of elimination.. I got down to 2 nics, the mobo itself, the cpu's and the ram, and it still didn't post. Next i took out a cpu and left a cpu in 'cpu socket 1'. The box posted and all was well. I swopped the cpu's over to ensure that both cpu's worked.

So... would i be right in thinking that a cpu socket 2 is buggered? It was all fine 2 days ago.. no changes to the rig - anyone got some fresh ideas i can try?

Thanks - Ben

p.s. box specs..
Mobo = ECS D6VAA
CPU's = 2 x P3 1Ghz
Ram = 1 x 1Ghz ECC
