Future of Crafting: Some proposed changes

Today on the Games Convention ( Leipzig, Germany ) they told us their plans on the coming Crafting imporvements.

- New crafter graphic interface ( thanks to the new man from EA )
- 40% less items are needed to become legendary crafter
- Crafttimes reduced to max. 1 minute per item.
- New items the make crafing easyier.
- New crafterquests
- All classes can learn every crafting job.
- The 2nd Crafterline will lose the caps. So you can have 2 full legendary carfters on one toon.

That's all i can remember *g* Sanya told us that these are PLANS. There is no date or else when this will go live. But it will come !


PS: It was a pleasure to meet Sanya there. She is really a very nice person with lots of patience. /blush

Some crafting love incoming in less then 8 days from now (on US) I think with the new recipes you can make a pretty decent template with 99% armor (good for those LGM crafters, they deserve it) and much cheaper then MP parts. I like the new Alchemy changes to, better stat buff potions (better then CL buffs) and they can be made in stacks.

I hear some saying we want 40% back on the plats we spent on it then..lol

About time, but those who already have done the timesink maybe cheesed off at this, too little too late again! However, the %chance to make, is that improved too or are we going to see a 1:100 on MP makes as a forefeit?

Great news, but isnt it easier also going to make it less challenging?

Nice one! But it will still be handy having crafters on seperate toons/accounts or you end up with a gazillion items in your bags, still nice tho.

Again long overdue, this was needed for ACers long ago, but now with there being no need for linings, not really neccessary. Oh well.

EA getting hands on is good, but is it all just training for WAR, and not so much for the future of daoc?

do that mean... you can skill up to LGM in everything if you wanted?

I'd take it to mean, for example, a friar can become a spellcrafter, alchemist, tailor, fletcher, armourcrafter or weaponcrafter. At the moment, they can become a tailor, fletcher or alchemist.

i don't want craft times to be nerfed i spent days sitting in front of screen crafting why now make it easier? i want more utility on crafted items where they are wanted more. ie who needs a wc/er apart from odd energy weapon.

there are not enough crafters as it is, hopefully this will encourage more.
