Well got my CC yesterday, updated my payment got mail that early access was not available. Checked payment history and was cancelled. Then this morning i got a mail that my account had been activated, and checked my account again and now its open.

They opened it again yesterday afternoon. They were getting too much flak on their main boards. There was also a legal question of advertising standards as the adds on every on-line shop stated early acces was an option and not limited. Think they wanted to limit it but have now given up.

tbh ive seen a few sites that said it was a limited offer even on the funcom forums, the fuck up has been on the end of the E-retailers by not saying it was a limited offer and for that funcom have took the flak

there were problems on both sides keys were sent out on various days which should never have been the case they all should have been sent out within a 6-12 hour block regardless of who you bought from

ppls payments were not been accepted quickly enough and so ppl thought they were missing out on EA which was bullshit but didnt stop em whining everyons has been blasting funcom but it wasnt their fault entirely

and unfortunately the whole affair has shown the mentality of alot of the community that of children who throw a tantrum when they cant have any chocolate etc

yes i know ppl are/were upset but flaming isnt the answer 90% of the posts were just blatant abuse at funcom or other posters instead of constructive post giving reasons as to why they felt they had been mistreated.

I purchased the game based on the fact that early access was there and keys would be emailed prior to box shipment. I posted on the main boards that I was upset at not getting in early access and thought it was poor that retailers were either not informed correctly or given incorrect information. The fact that different free items have been given away at different e-tailers shows that there has been a lot of organisation and communication between the two sides. If they cannot even get the copy agreed and correct then Funcom are at fault. At the end of the day it is their name on the box after all.

All too easy to blame others these days. Companies have to make sure the sales copy is correct and agreed or you end up in situations exactly like this. Chaos and upset customers.

I would be extremely suprised if Funcom had no input on what Amazon and Play wrote on their websites.

Fun, i purchased the pre-order CE without knowing about the pre-play, without knowing the books of conan, about the world of conan OR anything about the game. Not even the PG18 tag.

It just seemed...right and i wanted a new MMO, and decided, that if i go for an MMO, should go full steam

It's gonna be very interesting and fun to learn about the world and game.

Yeah i know but i tried to pay around 20.00 CET last night, so was kinda miffed about it, but was happy again this morning.

It's gonna be very interesting and fun to learn about the world and game.

Aye thats why i have not read up about it on their website, i know about some classes from reading forums about some of the pvp but have almost no clue about the game play, so i hope
i will get the same feeling when i first loaded up DAOC for the first time, guess the difference here is that you know alot of people.

I just wish one could get that first Daoc feeling all alone in a big new world goin around exploring getting ganked by a Tomte.
