Check this out

http://www.cs.ubc.ca/~mbrown/autostitch/autostitch.html

Its well smart. I took some piccies today while out on the bike, using my mobile phone, of a local railway thats being re-instated, and it took it about 5 seconds to stitch them together thusly:

Its bloody ace. I'm going to mess around with it, doing Hockney-esqe images!

I'll need to check out that link. I used some stiching software a couple of years ago, to put together this picture of Prague.

I've did a few of these, and instead used a little java app so you can pan around and zoom in and out, check it out here

The images are pretty big, but do load.....

Also, it's a good little app to view the mars rover panorama's that come out from time to time.

This programs quite impressive. I had some old holiday photos I'd tried to stitch together before but had failed miserably. I chucked them at this and it worked wonders.

The pictures were taken some time ago and I'm not entirely sure which ones belong in the panorama so I chucked a bunch of them at it and it discards the ones it doesn't think belong.

I've got it doing a massive one now, been at it about 5 minutes. Hopefully I'll end up with a v nice panorama of a volcano crater I visited in Rhodes.

i know its not amazing or anything, but its 3 times wider than my phone camera lens is. so imo its pretty good. just some of the view from my bedroom window.

Here's one using the program Tom mentioned.... using the same source pics as my older panorama (without the dodgy colour caste)

I'm very impressed

Done a couple of panoramas. Some of when we went to see the Grand Canyon and one of when we went to the Waterworld show at Universal Studios LA.

I've just got back from spending a few days on the "Jurassic Coast", or Dorset as I thought it was called, and I created this fantastic (well I think it is) panorama of Swanage Bay, clicky.

If you really want to, you can see all the pics I took :)

I love panoramas, so imagine how thrilled I was when i discovered the k800i phone has a panorama shoot mode! Although it only takes 3 photos and puts em together, looks real good though!

I tried doing this from the middle of the dancefloor at work, but it proper fucked the top and bottom bits up (above is a light rig, which I thought it would handle better than the pretty uniform wooden dance floor) . It worked ok with my kitchen, maybe I just need to take better pictures...

Externals have all come out pretty bloody nice though (load them as an environment map in your favourite 3d app if you want supremely easy outdoor backdrops, but this only works properly with full 360/180 degree panoramas as far as I can see). :)

I hope you were not staying in that van :eek7:

The pano mode of the K750i is not the best, its good for quickly but you do get "ghosting" at the joins. funnily enough the first stitch is hard to notice, but the second sticks out like a sore thumb.
for proof, here's a picture of the office i work in

imagine the stink of it after 3 days :eek6:

it was for six adults, and there were only three of us, so we each had a double bed. which was nice :) and yeah, after two weeks it smelt like something had crawled in there and died, and we still had four weeks to go at that point ;)

my mates refused to believe that the smell of the van had gotten in my shoes, but argued that the smell from my shoes had gotten in the van
