You want to say that out of 40 albs no one can form a group to fight against the hibs camping the bridge? Well okay, that didn't work on Beno bridge either but are they really unable to learn? But only sorcs and scouts standing there hoping that they can kill anything and almost no other albs will show up? Guess you have to work on your group setups then.

I think its better to just leave any room campers where they are til they get bored and come out to fight in the open. It gets realy dull if people ignore you.

Whenever I've tried these tactics its been because i've been in an appropriate group to do so.

The question I have though is why do you think people should let themselves be farmed? If you get some kills then great, but you can't expect people to want to fight on your terms.

hibs camped bold bridge for some time , was HUGE albzerg standing outside bold. But ofc albs never charged bridge, just stood there watching. Even after all hibs had moved away from bridge all the albs were still standing outside bold for some reason. :eek2:

probably having a laugh, but thats just speculation on my part.

There really wern't that many albs. I didn't count at the time - mentally viewing the scene I'd estimate 16-24 people min/max guess and a couple of catapaults (which I got yelled at for using as apparently I was breaking the mez :twak: ).

As for why we didn't rush in - as Roadie said everytime we advanced (admittedly slowly) it was mezz followed by the zzzstunfortehwinzzz and we got picked off. We couldn't even hide behind the bridge tower turrets as it was pbaoe-city through the walls (nerf Teador tbh :eek7: ). Yes IF we'd been organised in groups, and IF we'd have had a suitable BG leader no doubt we could have successfully charged and then be yelled at on FH for "Alb-zerging" - but the Mids beat us to it.

Anyways, I enjoyed myself which is after all the point of the game - thanks to Hibbies for not covering the bridge in Mushrooms :)

Then why do they keep coming like that?

Fun is the key =)

1. The albs want to play the game and have some fun, but all they can find is opted grps. Regardless, various albs tries to have a shot at them.

2. The albs die, and is piled up outside the keep due to the hibs running back and forward, killing everyone they tries to exit.

3. The albs has now developed into a zerg. They decide to have another go. They exit the area, and enters the bridge, the hibs run around and gets em in the back. Albs die again.

( the albs still want to have some fun so ...)

4. The albs is getting tired of getting killed all the time, so they start hanging around otuside the keep instead, where the hibs cant reach em / ambush em as easy.

4. ( alternative ) The albs kills the hibs.

. Freddyshouse: "Albs wont come out and play"

5. ( alternative ) Freddyshouse: "Albs zerg"

Keep in mind that this is not necessarily how it happened this time, but just how it could have happened ( I was not there to watch this ). Just an example.

For someone who wasn't there, you just gave an extremely accurate point of view. I remember trying to go outside, only to get steamrolled by hibs roaming around. Such fg's were even strong enough to create a massacre amongst the albs, even though we were there with superior numbers. And yes, this is really the way alb-zergs are formed. People try to go outside, but get killed. So they start sticking together ( strength in numbers ) to be able to fight those well-balanced hib groups.

Try to make a balanced group, between everyone on alb you can get more guild groups out than Hib. But don't give up on the group after one night, make it a regular thing, you can only get better at rvr not worse and it takes time, i'm still a n00b to it tbh, but learning is the key. When clustering comes, your just going to get farmed if you don't sort it out. Do it while you have the chance to do it, there is going to be a heck of a lot more rvr when clustering is here, and i don't particulary want to see 100 albs camping beno/bold bridge, come on m8s make some groups, post on a forum your setting a group up, what set up and what spots are free and people will join, then you have to get better and better.

You have until end of June to practise because if clustering comes it will be then, and there are plenty of roaming hib/mid 8 man groups out there atm.

NOTE: This is not a whine, its friendly advise to make a better server! PG rating :drink:

One of the most sensible threads I've read on FH in a long time and have to agree with Penlid 100% (I think I must be ill or something)

Just be careful not co complain about anything...
There are a good number of high RR players who delight in telling ppl their fgs are shit, laugh spam, accuse them of zerging, and insult in just about anyway possible...

In saying that, with practice it does get easier and you'll get there eventually. Just do't let being steamrolled every now and again put you off...

+1 respect Pen (OK I know I'm ill now)... Wish more folks had a similar attitude on this...
