Sorry to see you leave, I grouped with you a few times. Because I mostly run in random groups, I even prefer that cause you don't have to wait most of your time at atk to wait for the second cleric or so to make your setup perfect. Random groups just get the basics and buff up and run off....sure you die more, but you get more action time and when you do have a good rvr time the satisfaction is greater cause killing peeps when you got a high rr group doesn't give me much satisfaction.

Had some fun duos with you in Odins. I know how you feel as I have to solo alot, but then Reavers are alot easier to solo with.

A break from this game is good. I haven't logged on now for almost 2 months and only really miss chatting to guildies. I don't miss the crap RvR had become and certainly won't be coming back because of enthralling gameplay opportunities (till NF )

As for the twats. Typical responses from 12-16 year olds who have no idea what it takes to pay your way whilst using games as pure recreation instead of game being their life. Funny thing is, unless they intend to stay a student/unemployed/virgin then all of them will end up as casual players sooner or later.

I played for about the same time and i only got a rr3 cleric and a rr4 caba!
Some ppl doesnt live in rvr or play daoc all days long for tha matter.
I got work too, just as warkrusher do for example...
There can be millions of reasons why a dude that been playing almost 2 years doesnt have a high rr char.

Ive been playing for 2 years only RR5L0 with my main lol and since toa has come out that has stoppd cant put the time in due to work on ML's so im ML2, no one wants a tank for RVR with no Bodyguard.

Best of luck on whatever you do Wark, shame to see yet another Armsman leaving DaoC, you're one of a dying breed. My first ever toon was an Arms and i had a lot of fun playing him back in the pre-SI days, given the current state of play i can totally understand your reasons for quitting. All i'd say is don't delete,you might miss the character you put all that time into.
You never know Mythic might have a divine revelation that the class needs a lot of loving.

It's not only Armsman. It's all Heavy Tanks. The only Role most of them perform atm are BG Bots. And BG is shit. Loved to work with Guard/intercept to protect a Mage. But BG makes this Ability nearly useless.

Armsman suck m8, I know I am one, and we are nothing like heroes.

An argument could be made for chain +evade being just as good if not better than plate, hybrid spec isnt as effective as heroes because of the fact that arms have to double spec just for balance, it doesnt give a variance advantage after 50.

Paladins have the defensive base covered, with chants they make very good defensive tanks, that I agree with you on. The problem arises when arms try to spec offensive to actually get a group for their dmg output rather than defensive abilitys, mercs do better dmg over time, also have dirty tricks etc.

So arms are in this position, they arent the best defensive tank, they arent the best offensive tank, and they dont give anything to a group in way of buffs, regens, etc etc.

So basically your gimped to have them in your group.

Anyone who says "Theres nothing wrong with the armsman class" should actually take the time out to look at the test data keersdan has over on armsman.com

As far as Alb classes go armsmen are the least group friendly class in the realm, hell even necros have group utility.

Heroes have something unique in Hibernia: Large shields.. This isnt the case in Albion: Paladin and Reaver also have large shields. Add to that paladins are 'needed' for endurance-regen and you basically are left in the dark.

Like there is little room in good-groups for 2 heroes (or 2 warriors) there is little room for a paladin (needed for endo) AND an armsman.

Even if they fixed all the issue with armsman and its problems, double-speccing etc there would still be little room for you in a RvR-group..

Granted m8, Im not saying make arms better than all the other heavy tanks, but simply because of double speccing we can not compare with the other realms heavy tanks.

What I would like to see is armsman getting something group based every 5 or 10 lvls maybe, something that enhances the group your with, if armsmen had something like this, that would actually give something to a group, then double speccing and everything else would probably be put on the back burner because arms would get groups just for the fact they have something group based... alot like Pala's.

End chant really saves Paladins RvR wise, alot've ppl think they suck in RvR, either because S/S spec doesnt do an amazing amount of dmg, or that 2H spec doesnt leave enough points for a decent enough base dmg variance.... but they still get groups because they have that ubah green bar regeny purp spell.

Not to sound insulting to paladins but it really irks me when they start whining about how they find it hard in RvR, I mean you guys are VITAL to group make up, where as Arms at best get either only guild groups, or have to rely on charity and friendships to get a group at all. You guys can get in both caster and tank RvR groups, where as arms are lucky to get in either.

Granted tanks supposedly suck in frontiers, but Mythic owe armsman something, they have done for the past 2 years and we have waited a lot longer than the folk who are whining about tanks being underpowered in NF.

Fix arms as a priority, before the last of us dwindle out to other games, it isnt a fact of us hating the game, its a fact that our class is under par below every other class in the game in terms of everything, offense, defense and group utility.

If not at least /delete the class and stop noobs rolling one thinking they're gonna be ubah dmg dealing tanks that "have the highest melee dmg in the game" *cough* Warriors 6% exta ws *cough*

Give arms a class respec/realm change to warriors, heros, or palas and you'll see the entire class end completely.

In the top 20 Armsman a total of 133,162 rps were earnt last week, which is alot less then most stealthers and RvR good characters can earn in a week alone.

And out of that 133k Bracken, Jimmy and I got around 40 k each, leaving around 13 k between the rest.

Point? 3 RvR active Armsmen in the top 20 should indicate somethings seriously fucked up somewhere and to be frank im not playing a fraction as much as I used to myself either.
