I'm really enjoying the start of the game. Someone tell me that it's worth perservering with all the crashes. I'm getting constant freezes.

Tried excluding FFDcodex and modifying the .ini as I've found on teh webz but still no luck.

Really. Is it great or what? :(

And don't move this to techhelp - I wanna talk about the game too!

Have you updated it with the patches and u[dated your graphics card drivers? Think teedles had problems, but only till the patches.
It's a great game, luckily I avoided the issues by getting it on the 360.

Works a treat on my ps3. I've completed tha game and done all sorts of shit and it has crashed exactly twice :)

It's an amazing game, I can still go back to it when I'm bored and discover new places on the map.

I had a problem where it didn't like my sound card. I eventually had to un-install my (bang up to date) sound card drivers, install fallout 3 and then re-install the card drivers, odd but it worked anyway. Crashed very rarely after that, if at all.

The game is great, especially modded, it was held back to much so that it would work on puny consoles. Get the grass mod before you get out of the first area so that when you do arrive outside it looks a bit more alive :)

They are fucking mutants!

Honestly, you want to make a nuclear wasteland greener?? It's the worst idea for a mod ever.

Realism is fine to a point but the game is not enjoyable to look at after a while.

yeah as said I had loads of crashes (reinstalled, tweaked the ini, everything) and basically gave up until the patch/s came along. ironically it crashed right after patching but not since then.

I agree with Ch3tan I think it looks like a nuclear wasteland should look. Although I do feel that the wooden houses and dead trees would have suffered from the effects of time a bit more, 200 is a long time.

I literally bought this yesterday for the Xbox so which one of you bastards is operating a Truman show style surveliance on me as this is the third time a thread has appeared that seems to match my life lol.

awesome game man, stick with it, i am actually tempted to go play through it again now.

i had some problems with it crashing, patched and played in windowed mode and solved most of the problems i had with it, still the odd crash but no where near as frequent.

Am I the only one that found it got really tedious and samey?

Na i thought it was awesome. Maybe if you went through the story it could be but there was so much to do, so many side quests and fun places to raid I never got bored with it and was gutted when it was finished.

Oh that was my problem - I always stopped off to do sidequests after finding out that
apparently once you finish the story mode you can't go and roam the countryside - it's finished.
so I figured I'd do all the side stuff first. Then I got very bored with that and stopped. I guess I could start up again but every time I do I realise I've no idea how to play or what I'm doing so I quickly stop.

No sneak around and avoid everything, until you can get that perfect sneaky kill from behind at close range, preferably with an explosive.

standard, once its over its over

if you get the 2nd most recent DLC, Broken Steel iirc, it ups it to lvl 30 and the main game extends past that bit

Well, after patching to 1.6 and fekking around with the .ini file I've finally got it running stable-ish. Not stable enough to be able to alt-tab out but enough to play for extended periods.

Really liking it so far. Even the bird's staying up to watch me play. Had tea really late - 3:30am. Haggis neeps and tatties. Yep. That's fucked up eh? :)

"Pants blown" as a statistic says it all.

In any case, it's no fallout 2, but it's fallout enough.

About the problems;

Kill all extra applications.
Update all drivers.
Update the game.
Pray to whatever internet god(s) you worship.

Don't you dare imply that Morrowind is the same as Oblivion.

Great game. And there is a place with grass and a very special tree...
