So a mate actually convinced me to sign up so i could see all the pictures of his kid, which apparently was to many to send over MSN......

and off i went to check them out, and by random figured i'd see if any of my old mates from happier days were around there. And they were, so now i'm actually starting to enjoy it...


But i fucking HATE facebook!

Its EVIL!

I dont want to like it, but its breaking me down. :/

no i don't, but it was really fun to chat to them all again.... remembering all the fun shit we had back in the days, like organizing a punk "festival" that went so far out of line 50 cops decided to crash the party only to end up barricading themself at the station because they thought we were gonna try and bust out a friend that got taken in because he was to drunk....

but all we did was paintspray all their cameras so they couldn't see what we did

likewise its a good way to keep in touch with people on a casual basis, plus id prob never have met my gf without FB as i met her through some other random lass i got chattin to on there. now we are all good friends who go out together n shit, so FB does have its merits ppl who live on it on tho do my head in doing updates every 20 mins etc that does just make you scream GET A FUCKING LIFE!

I started a thread about Facebook quite recently; Facebook starts off being quite fun but some of my "extended friends" (read: people who aren't really friends, but are friends with my immediate friends and attend the same functions etc.) use it as a regular pissing contest that just gets really boring to read. There is a website dedicated to such people.

Then there are the attention seeking status updates:

I use Facebook, but not that often get annoyed with some of my mates who organise stuff using Events in FB, I miss out because they don't txt or phone anymore.

I've had another type of bad FB "reunion". Instead of a hottie now being fat, I found this girl from high school that really liked me but she was kinda geeky and frumpy and I ignored her. Now, naturally, she is unbelievably smoking hot. Oh well. I've found several cases of hottie-to-fatty and several of the geeky-to-hottie and I cant decide which is worse, ruining the memory of the old used to be hottie or realizing you ignored the wrong frumpy girl.

Incidentally I keep receiving invitations from people who I've never heard of, but with info saying "some other people you might know" and lists several people I *do* know, but who have no possible way of knowing each other. Some of them also shouldn't have this address that the email is sent to so what the fuck?

I went to the site (not via the email, natch) and tried to unsubscribe from these emails but that doesn't seem to have cut it out. Fuck fucking facebook for fucks sake :|.

Unfortunately i also have a facebook acc... it first started also for sharing pictures as msn was too difficult. Now i have it etc and it's so stupid, i hate it and i would actually love to delete my profile. But I can't I think ...
