i have to share this because ive never come across such an assignment in all my life.

"You are required to write an essay of not more than 1000 words on the subject of ‘Which room in the home is the most dangerous?’

• The essay should include issues relating to the biology and chemistry that you have learned as part of this module"

wtf is all i can say. maybe if they taught me some biology and chemistry that is actually related to the home then i might have an idea.

The most dangerous room in the house is my back bedroom.

I keep open jars of phosphorous-oxy chloride on rotting containers of leaking spent nuclear fuel rods covered in swan vesta-matches all resting on a matress soaked in concentrated hydrofluoric acid which rests on a delicate trigger button connected to an air-fuel bomb.

Bathroom or kitchen deffo. Simply because of the wide range of different chemicals used there.

My Ex-wife once almost killed herself by mixing 2 toilet cleaners and producing pure chlorine gas. She had to stay in the hospital for 3 days.

Many cleaners contain either chlorine-based compounds or acids. A common mistake is to use one product and then apply another because the 1st didn't do the trick.

Don't ask me about the chemical background. Most of my chemics knowledge has gone down the drain over the years. I think acids dissolve chlorine-based compounds, freeing the chlorine. Not sure thou.

Beside that there is always the possibility of chemical burnings (skin, eyes and so on). Had some mould in my bathroom once. Killed it off with concentrated vinegar (27% or so). After applying it to a sponge and working with that for 30 seconds I decided to put on rubber gloves.

It's attached to the house so kinda a room...

It's where I keep paints, powertools especially the chainsaw (Oh yeah)...

Oh and if you ever saw my other half try to park there you'd understand just why it's sooo dangerous

This is the most dangerous stuff I have in my household. Looks like an energydrink but it would probably kill you in a couple of minutes by dissolving your digestive system if you'd drink some.
It's natriumpersulfat and used to etch circuit boards. That particular sample contains alot of dissolved copper already. Thats why it got this nice blue color.
