I'm having a lovely Scottish, with nice curves on the first look. A lovely red'ish color and a nice warm taste, bit oaky, a hint smokey, and with a lovely red lable.

Also i'm drinking Johnnie Walker.

Writing a book eh? Best of luck with it and let us all know when you finish if you intend to publish. :)

To start, I'll be having bird shit soup with a puree of lion earwax, followed by a steaming bowl of earthworm porridge with a pig vomit jus, and for desert, a stinging nettle flambe on a bed of delecately roasted goat eyes covered in donkey pubic hair

oh it's actually an alphabet book! so the writing is very much minimal, haha :) it's about an inventor who makes animals for each letter of the alphabet... but he is a rubbish inventor and he always gets something wrong.

here's a page:

you can see pages a-n here kids book - a photoset on Flickr, none of them are really totally finished yet, but i'm planning to do the whole thing to a decent standard and then take stock and see what i might what to change after that.

i'm taking it to the london book fair with the intent of trying to get picked up by a publisher mind. would be lovely but i doubt it will happen. still! i'll keep my hopes up.

eksdee, that is absolutly brilliant!! But think you should aim your market to be white weed smoking men in the age 22-23. Then it will be a bestseller for sure.

I can't remember when I had such a good laugh the last time.

OT: I had a few morgan+cola while playing pool. Ending the night with a joint and then going to bed early.

thats cool, and a coincidence becuase i started my own childrens book a month or so ago, and im busy planning the 32 pages, just getting to the scanning/photoshop editing on a couple of them.
yours looks cool so far, think im just trying to sort out what my main character (Amelia) does next.

best of luck with it mate, if your enjoying it as much as i am i know its not a chore.

on and on topic,
i had a bottle of cheap Bulmers cider, 2.20 for a litre or something, over a Rughon curry (with cashew nuts).
the curry was one of the best ive tasted for a long long time.
