Went to the hospital this morning, doctor said my brains bruised pritty bad, its not bleeding but it is bruised. I had a CT scan which might make me feel worse because of the radiation or something coming off it, thats what the bloke said anyway.

Gotta go back soon for some more shit to be tested on, if i carry on slurring words and forgetting things then ive gotta go back in sooner than required.

Bleeding on the brain would be a compression, which is far, far more serious and not something they're going to take any chances with if they have any doubt about whatsoever in a hospital (lawsuits etc).

If they even suspected you had compression you wouldn't be posting on FH right now (also the signs are generally obvious - pupil's don't respond to light, unequal size pupils, long and repeated deep unconsciousness etc).

More than likely you just have a nasty concussion (concussion = bruising on the brain from the brain bouncing off the skull usually). It's common to be groggy and slurring while you have one - they usually go away in 24h-1week depending on severity.

I would strongly advise against revenge, as it's going to escalate rapidly into something particuarly nasty rather than just a drunken fight (look up the BBC news article about the bloke who did something similar a few years ago in Glasgow - ended up stabbing his assailant 14 times with a screwdriver and doing 2 years at HMP).

A few observations also:

• It is only very stupid people who believe the police are stupid. They are intelligent, well trained and methodical, if very overworked. To get away with a crime, you have to leave no evidence of any kind. Witnesses, Forensics, etc. Doubly so if you have ever been "in the system" in any way.
  
• You will get no special favours/mitigation in court because it was a revenge attack if you are caught. On the contrary, the courts punish vigilantism / revenge attacks particuarly harshly pour encourager les autres.
  
• The best defense if arrested is to say nothing regarding the attack. That's probably what your attacker did to get away with it. Say nothing (innocent until etc).

My thoughts exactly. If you are going to commit a crime only tell jack and shit about it. Even if it is an unrelated internet forum - if you accidentally kill the guy they will pull phone records, computer etc. The whole deal.

Why, considering half the posts laddey makes here, I find it very hard to take him seriously. Especially considering the posts with threats he has made in this thread.

I feel bad for him if it did happen, and hopes he is not stupid enough to seek revenge through violence after posting all this. But, given his usual posts I'm doubting it.

Aye - this was probably their soft option to avoid going to court with a case that wasn't a slam-dunk for them.

CPS are targeted on successful convictions - the level of conviction is also irrelevant. If given a chance they will always allow a plea to a lesser charge for an easy conviction, or ditch the case entirely if it's not a sure-win.

Seen it many times - it's a target culture within CPS just as sure as it is within all the public and emergency services now.
