4th anniversary of Dark Age of Camelot in Europe
We will not go back over the rich history of Dark Age of Camelot that led us to the game we know now. The game profoundly evolved thanks to its five - and soon six - expansions. It will be 4 years this weekend that the servers were opened and this year, we celebrate the event with even more splendour than in the past since it coincides with the announcement of the arrival of the Kings to the Capital cities !
You certainly noticed the announcement of the Royal Lottery on the main page of the website. To celebrate their arrival the Kings are organising festivities that will begin this weekend in the Capital cities, with a Lottery where each participant is sure to win a prize if he bought a royal lottery ticket for 10 gold pieces. The spies certainly did a good job since this announcement was made simultaneously on the three Realms, each claiming the idea of the lottery, which will certainly lead to quarrels between the sovereigns.
By the way, who are these sovereigns ?
Many people already know the King of Albion, Constantine, also he appeared rather unobtrusive until now. He promised to hold public audiences very soon and the throne room will soon be opened to the inhabitants of the Realms.
On Hibernia, the Elven King Lug was a legend, but now he announces his imminent return from beyond the Veil to help his Realm by establishing himself in Tir na Nog.
At last, the people of Midgard, aware of the necessity to have a central power, just nominated Eirik Alfevson as their King and he will soon arrive in Jordheim.
Do not miss this Lottery where any character from level 45 and above can participate in. Each character can try his luck once only but will win a prize, whatever happens. Of course, all prizes don't have the same value since the Kings cannot offer great prizes to each inhabitant of the Realms.
The first prize will be a Unicorn from the Royal Stables - along with the free activation of the Darkness Rising expansion on the 1st of February for the winner. This Unicorn was carefully chosen and his master will be able to mount it on the first day without other condition than being the great winner of the weekend.
On each Realm and on each standard server, the prizes brought into play are :
1st prize : a black Unicorn and the activation of Darkness Rising (to download on our website).
2nd and 3rd prize : a Star of Destiny
4th to 6th prize : a Luminescent Exerpise stone (that offers a respecialisation of all your abilities)
7th to 10th prize : a Reactive Mending Tincture
11th to 15th prize : a book amongst the rarest, enabling the activation of an artefact - the Mad Tales, A Love Story, Regarding Shades, Cloudsong, the Egg of Youth.
16th to 150th prize : an object randomly chosen in a chest from Atlantis.
The other participants will be offered many other prizes, simpler of course, but not deprived of charm.
This lottery will only last a weekend, do not wait to go and visit the Tickets Merchants who are :
- in front of the great temple of Jordheim
- in front of the palace of Tir na Nog
- at the east entrance of Camelot
Trials of Atlantis for free as soon as today for the Shrouded Isles users
Since the atmosphere is festive, we decided to offer Trials of Atlantis for free 10 days before the scheduled date. So, players who use a Shrouded Isles client will be able to discover the mysteries of Atlantis as soon as today. On the 25th of January the move onto Trials of Atlantis version will be automatic - which will require some download time before accessing the game. In order to get a better download speed and to choose the moment when you want to download it, we recommend you to download Trials of Atlantis before the 25th of January by following this link.
Download the version 1.80 updates before the 1st of February
In order to ease the move onto version 1.80 for everyone, the update files from version 1.78 to version 1.80 are available from today. You can download them from the Download page which will enable you to gain time on the 1st of February and avoid the difficult moment when everyone will want to download it at the same time.
However, download it now but do not install these files before the 1st of February.
Here are the different possible cases :
- You play with Shrouded Isles. As indicated above, your game will be patched into the Trials of Atlantis version on the 25th of January at the latest. You then have to download the update for the Trials of Atlantis client.
- You play with New Shrouded Isles. Download the update from the New Shrouded Isles client to the New Trials of Atlantis client. You will be able to continue playing until the 1st of February and even if you see a message indicating that Trials of Atlantis is activated on your account, do not install New Trials of Atlantis before the 1st of February.
- You play with Trials of Atlantis. Download the update for the Trials of Atlantis client.
- You play with Catacombs. Download the update for the Catacombs client.
