Freshers week!

last year i went to the freshers opening party, and that was bad enough. if it wasnt for long standing friends i would of probably chucked my self off the nearest multistory.

but this year took the piss. i wonderd why 99% of them botherd to be students if all they could do was drink 2 bottles of reef and stand there like dummies from a shop window. you dare breath in their general direction and they go psycho on your ass like you just raped their mothers and shit her eyes. i accidently brushed up against a 'female' (read: 5 tonne rhino) and she nearly suffocated me with her 48 ZZZ titties.

do they not understand what being a student is? the only thing you ever have the next morning is a class, so why not just enjoy your self and turn up still pissed but knowing you had a good time!

tonight i would rather of poured salt and vinegar down my japs eye then had a pocupine press up against it. im sure i would of had more fun.

are the students the same where you are? have they come from a little hamlet in the middle of no where. places where they suck shit out of each others asses in the name of fun?!

I can remember when I was doing freshers week last year as part of the freshers crew and I saw this lad with a massive set of headphones on in this club and he was listening to his music on an mp3 player in the middle of a club.

I was like "right... just get fucked you wont give a shit what you're dancing to".

You always get some lamers, but it depends where you go. Last year we had too many people wanting to get a freshers wristband (to do the stuff) so we had to turn people away for health and safety reasons, shame really. You also get at least one stoner crowd in one set of halls, who just sit around in their halls getting stoned, and dont socialise.

I mean I thought it definately got tamer every year I've done it, but that might just be my perception of been there done that. And its probably also due to the whole OH NOES BINGE NATION idea that the news and mainstream media tries to brainwash people with, it probably effects people more than you think.

Like going out on the town, when I was 16/17 it was really cool wow you can get drunk. Now that I'm 21, 5 years later, its just same old same old, I dont enjoy it as much, only times I have a great time is when I go to a place where they play dance music, but usually with my mates and where I live I get dragged to the generic rnb/rock/rap/generic house combo. Sad really.

The thing is alcohol is the BEST way to meet people, barriers are broken down as 5,000 people dance like twats, but people dont seem to realise this.

No I'm seriously saying its the best way to be when in awkward first time situations, I can have fun doing other things but I was talking about in freshers week situations, where its pretty strange meeting all these new people. It breaks the ice so to say.

In my 2nd year at uni I lived with 3 other blokes. One was always fixing the chain on his bike listening to The Shamen at full volume on his headphones, one kept rubbing chips on his head, and the other one locked himself in his room and fired an air pistol at the walls. Students pff

I was the only one in that house who (1) studied (2) had a social life, and (3) had a girlfriend.

what im saying is if you goto a night club, on the first freshers night out, you shouldnt stand there staring at the floor and looking down on people who have a good time. it got to one point were only me and my friend were dancing and around us we had a massive circle of space. where people had obviously witnessed too much fun for one day they had to back off before their brains exploded and sprayed brain juice everywhere.
