Wankers. Utter utter wankers.

All UK-bound flights are subject to amazing levels of stupidity from France.

No drinks.
No car alarm/blipper fobs.
No phones.
No bags.
No ipods, laptops etc.

Takes ages to check in.

Mate gets his keyfob LED torch taken from him (after all he might blind the captain with it)
Can't take drinks on board, even when bought in the shops after the scanners.
All flight announcements in French only - even in the new terminal for UK destinations (which contains only 1 mediocre cafe)
Everyone frisked at the gate before boarding - except some women.

Now you might think this is all perfectly reasonable, but the rules above apply ONLY to UK-bound flights. And these rules apparently didn't start last week, but about a month ago. If you ask me, its the French being awkward fuckers again.

So I'm after recommendations for custom T-shirt online webbies, because in a few weeks I'm back there and I want to wear a T-shirt with a picture of Henry V on it, with Agincourt written underneath.

They've changed their security alert status from "Run" to "Hide" it seems...

Tom, the US are worse.
If you check the BA website, while all flights from the UK not to the US, you can now take food, stuff you bought after checkin etc etc.
The US are still keeping it hardly anything, its absurd.
I just hope everything runs smoothly for my flights to Botswana tonight.

The annoying thing is, if we made security more lax, we'd have more exploding planes so either way, we lose.

Not quite the same thing. "Explosion by smacking into a building" isn't what this security bollocks is about. Its about hysteria and fear over a "threat" that isn't that plausible anyway.

Where are you flying to? I flew out to slovakia on friday and flew back today, to be honest it was no different than any other time i've been through manchester. Only difference was a queue to go thru to security because they were checking the size of handluggage and giving people a chance to throw away bottles and the like. Only added about 5 extra mins tho, was checked in and through security in no more time than usual.

Throd is in France this week(his homeland), I can just imagine the reaction if they give him any hassle.

Lots of "fack off you cants"

Only if you buy them in the airport, once past security.

Unless you're in France, whereupon you're automatically treated like a ****.

No liquids or gels so no drinks, deodorant, hair products, aftershave etc. All that needs to go in cabin luggage, however you can buy whatever you like after you've been through security and take that on board so it's not really that bad.
