Help Free version of Publisher

I need a free version of Publisher. I checked Open Office but I do not think they have a Publisher program in their suite.

Can anyone help please?

Basically my dad wants to make posters and shit for his band. He's got it into his head that Publisher is amazing (think one of his friends has a copy).

I can't give him Photoshop as he's really n00b with pc's.

DOes anyone know a program that would be good for designing posters etc? PowerPoint seems a bit crap.

Ive got some free programms from here before quite handy with user reviews to. There's a graphic design tab on the left menu might be something there you can use.
