free level question

Hi all, i have a question hopefully someone can help me with

I level to 29, and then get the message for the free level. If i now carry on xp'ing to 0.1 bubs from 30 and take the free level do i:-

Get 0.1 bubs and ding 30
Get a complete level, taking me to 0.1 bubs away from 31
get the amount of xp it would take to get from 29 - 30 and end up somewhere in the middle of level 30?

I think you get 10 bubs worth of exp for the level you ding to, so if you take it at 0.1 to next level, you should end up with around 8 bubs into the next level.

when i got my free level with 43.9 scout i got enough exp to get to 44.15

They should call it free exp instead of free level so all the confusion would go away on a holiday.

why? .. then you'd get people asking "how much xp is 'free xp'?" ... and people had to reply "Exactly enough for a free level...

Since it is exactly enough to get you 1 level at the level you get the popup it's ... a free level ... I see no point in calling it any other way.

Also I'm confused and very disapointed Seel ... I read your post 5 times now and I can't find anything funny in it ... are you ok?

While we're on the subject... I know its been asked before - but I vaguley remember people complaining of a bug at level 46/47 and I recall reading something that I didn't understand on GOA's webby about a change they had implemented not long ago... <and now I'll stop waffling>

This is the situation:

I reactivated an account I hadn't used since the last patch - and levelled a level 41 character to 42 on Sunday night, dinging 42 at 21:00. I instantly got my "you have a free level" message which I went and used right away. Then, throughout the week, I've been grinding away and am now 44.5 ish.

Now - if I want to max out the next (and hopefully final) free level I'll get - do I need to get to level 47.9 by 21:00 Sunday, or 46.9 ?
Actually - in thinking about it it doesn't matter if you get to .9 or not - as you get the same amount of xp at any point in that level, so in fact is it level 46 or 47 I need to get to by sunday night?

So more concisely: Do you qualify for a free level AT level 47 or not?

Yes, you now (since the fix) can get a free level at 47.

And yes, the .9 doesn't matter, as you say. Though at 47.9 you'd have been spending the last .9 bulbs with the xp cap for level 47, not the higher xp cap for level 48. So it can be worth popping out for the free level if you're regularly hitting xp cap for the monsters you are fighting.
