game #6 will probarly end soon, so time to do another sign-up

This will be the last game for a while and will be a bit hasted, as it needs to finish before the end of May (shouldn't be a problem with normal speed, just won't allow it to drag long) as I will be temp moving, getting new temp work, have to look for new permanent work + new permanent apartment and probarly wont have the time to lead games here for a while.

Same setup as game #6: 7 people, 1 spot open for replacement!

2 Mafia, 5 Townies

50% Chance for a Doctor, 50% Chance for a Cop (not mutually exclusive, can be both or none)

Lethul got spot reserved for being a gentleman giving up his spot last game after some confusion

1 slot reserved for new player to try it.

1 slot reserved for experienced player who agrees to be responsible for answering newbie questions from new player (I will judge if you qualify for this spot). Answering questions is only game related general questions. I.e. you have to honestly answer a question of the type "Why would someone falsely claim to be a cop?" but can ignore/lie to questions like "Did you falsely claim to be a cop?", as specifics aren't under the honesty code.

And Will, you are not new to mafia, are you? Gathering from our PM exchanges, I gather you tried playing somewhere else on this very forum? Werewolf and Mafia is the same for being new or not, as they are essentially the same.

Yeah, will either fill you in replacement slot OR in Lethuls slot if he dont sign up OR in newbie slot if no new players sign up... so still plenty of chance to get a spot, but you might be late...

Or, if Will is actually newbie dispite what I thought, then you will have his normal slot and he gets newbie slot....

Well, the intention with the new player slot was the reserve a slot for someone who hadn't tried to play it before, so you got newbie slot.

Means that the need for a veteran is non-existant through, as you probarly has made quite a few observations (as has I) while being a moderator on tactics and such (being a moderator is cool by the way, as you get to understand tactics a lot better, just to encourage anyone to "lift the burden" in the period while I wont host games )

It's a whole different matter watching people do it, and actually doing it.

Yeah yeah, I know, you are now a newbie in the "clueless about what this is all about" sense of the word, but as I said, the purpose of the slot was to get people who hadn't tried playing a chance to play. That you got a huge bank of experience from moderating games is sort of irrevelevant, just means that Old.Tohtori gets to relax with his veteran spot.

perhaps in future I should instead let signups run permanently, so those who are not in 1 game is automaticly first to get spots in next, something to think about for after the summer when I should have more time again.

Tempted in some way to expand this one (2 mafia to 7 townies without power roles should be almost as balanced at 2 to 5 with power roles), but then it would just risk running longer than I can moderate....

I could give you some advice about larger games if you want. 9 players is tricky to balance though. I'd put in a serial killer and a another townie, and leave the power roles in. It can go really fast if the SK doesn't hit a mafia, or vv.
