Have to make clear one thing though:

RP isn't "Arth thou thine meaningful words use thi?"

It's just leaving behind things like smilies, stupid names, real world references and such.

Profanity and such, different ways to speak(Like saying "I'll f*ck you up!", is quite alright in MMORP.

Ofcourse you get hardcore roleplay people even cybering, but hell, it's PG18 so sex up!

I agree fully with the roleplaying.. I was in Order of the Knights Templar on Prydwen and we were a rather strict roleplay guild. But not strict in the sense how using "art thou" and such, but just as Toht says.. no real life references, names that won't break immersion, and no smileys in guild chat. Instead we'd use emotes like *smiles* *growls* etc. It's really not that hard but it does make a difference.

Sadly, I don't think either of the PvP servers will be enjoyable for me, at least. I don't like getting attacked by gank squads in quest zones and I fear that even the RP-PvP server will attract some l33t kids. Then again, if we all stick together through the levelling, perhaps people would leave us alone. *shrug*

We might need that vote as it seems to be that the PVE sillypants are gaining ground

Best case scenario, PVP people agree to go to RP-PVP since it would sooth more people and remove nothing.

Aye, beta clients do differ from the retail tho slightly it will still be around 30gig I think when its released retail.

Oh. I thought we knew. Well.. why are we even having this whole discussion about which server type to go to then?

Because when we hear PVP, we automatically start comparing to other games and expect it to be like this and that due to our preconceptions about it.

Yeah, there is a general PVP server up there, but no formal ruleset for anything. Border Kingdoms and sieiging is not implemented yet. Classes are very imbalanced so some can't do shit all but others one-shot people. So don't go total bananas about it
