I would love to know the rationale behind the choice of wine there chaps. It might be a small production but Merlot is generally a weak match for Steak and that is a fricking expensive few bottles. It's only £100 a bottle retail and gets a so-so review from HRH Jancis.

Actually, their wine prices are seriously gash - 3.5x mark-up; fuck London

I really don't see the point in spending that amount of money on a bottle of wine especially if you have had other drinks beforehand as well.

A £40 bottle of wine would have tasted the same at that stage...

Personally I always drink Malbec with Argentine beef. I don't have the palette to appreciate uber-expensive wine anyway.

Malbec is usually a great wine to drink. I don't think iv'e ever had a "bad" bottle of it. Even the less than £8 bottles are very tasty!
