The reason the prices are insane on such programs as adobe photoshop and 3d studio max is because the companies that make them want to sell them to people that are going to make money off of them. Which, for the companies that need the progs, is a drop in the ocean(compared to the average PC owner anyway).

I got no problems paying for it, I have legal versions of both lightwave and maya even, my issue was the fact that they released a new version fo the application a week after I bought it and gave me a tiny discount to buy the new Suite. My entire week old adobe suite(photoshop, golive, illustrator and indesign) gets the same discount as someone who has owned photshop only for a year, that sucks.

On holiday in South Africa atm and I can't believe how badly these people get overcharged, no wonder 3rd world rips software, it's double the price of uk(which is already more expensive then US) with a currency that is far weaker, silly.

On the Warez topic had interesting converstion with lawyer mate who's defending Drink Or Die atm basically they are being shafted by the government (not companies) so beware big brother IS coming they basically going down for 5 years and they make no money from it ... what for the users next i wonder
