2 free versions on the site, one only records the bottom left corner of ur screen but is pretty much full quality and unlimited other is only 15 secs full screen but bad quality. There any other proggys out there?

Dont really wanna pay for fraps when im only gonna use it to record a glorious keep seige sometime

You don't need Fraps if you have 2 PC's... most GFX cards have Vid in... so just cable up SVHS out on DAoC to SVHS on recording PC, sorted

Not sure which is best Quality Fraps V SVHS recording, probably Fraps, but recording with a second PC doesn't effect performance at all.

I just bought a full Adobe suite $1200, a week later they released the CS suite and I am getting a $300 rebate, so I have to pay another $900. Besides the fact that the tool I want is only available in the professional suite and I can't buy it separately, so I have to pay for 2 other applications I don't need out of 5.

I have never pirated before, but I am ffing close to doing it right now I can tell you.

Yeah i hear ya, i can understand it costing to develop etc etc etc.
But the insane pricings on software is fueling the piracy like gasoline poured on a fire.

Like me being an honest, law obeying citisen and all.

Computer hardware for 20000 Sek(2230 Euro)

Operating system (win xp) 2795 Sek (307 euro)
accesory software with the functions needed
(winzip, cd burning, antivirus, personal firewall and some other small accesory programs)
5000+ Sek (558Euro)
Word processor, to be cross compatible MS office package.
MS office 2003 standard edition 3850 Sek (430 Euro)
If u wanna edit your fraps movis with a movie editor worth mentioning.
Adobe Premiere pro v7.0 6530 sek (728 euro)

20000+ 18175 Sek = 38175 = 4258 Euro for the basics for using your computer.

Its insane, I myself have payed for 2 softwares on my computer except daoc.
The OS and a license of a cd burning software i like.

The rest?
Spoils of war i guess.

Fraps 2 is V nice bought it last week cos it did what it says on the tin - no shyte noise bars like VHS sits quite happily chugging away all night (filled 812 gig on summoner raid eek) and results are basically what u see on the screen.

Editing it on Final Cut Pro 4 which is cheap (compared to Avid etc) but 30x the cost lol
Lots of freeware editors tho on the market that will do basically the same job

Sonic Foundry Vegas is quite nice and ofc you get movie maker qith XP though not tried it :/

The reason the prices are insane on such programs as adobe photoshop and 3d studio max is because the companies that make them want to sell them to people that are going to make money off of them. Which, for the companies that need the progs, is a drop in the ocean(compared to the average PC owner anyway).
