Fraps or not to Fraps !

Hello thought id post a question ere and see if any one can give me some decent advise ..



I have never recorded ingame video's before but after playing daoc for 6 years i wish i had

question IS ! what is the best software out there for recording and also whats good for editing

guy in guild says use Frap and vegas .. is that good advice ?

i dont mind shelling out paying for any software i just wanna make rly nice vids

Fraps is THE one to use, accept no substitute. ;-)

I use fraps, well worth the $15 or so that it costs.

Agree, I used Fraps and Vegas for my second DAoC video. Top quality programs. The main danger is going over the top with the effects in vegas like I did slightly at the start of mine I believe HoA-Adrenaline used Vegas also, and that has some of the nicest editing going

Alot of really nicely edited videos have been done in Vegas, its quite nice once you get used to it Fraps can mean a dip in system performance if your PC isn't up to it, but otherwise its generally really quite good.
