I believe the rough fps should be like 40/60 when recording so many its too low so when you record its lagging slightly.. like when you get to really low fps rates.

You got too high resolution most likely, try lower it a little...

i seem to have the same prob @1280 X 1024

Lower the resolution and the quality should come out just perfect.

[EDIT] If you really want to capture in full resolution you will need an older version of Fraps, 2.8 or older I think...

You won't notice the difference after a few runs :)

Or you can just find the older version.

I think i recorded with 1024x768 with i did Haxen movie. But when i'm not recording, i play in 1152x864. Most ppl dont know you have to sacrifice their favorit resolution to make a good movie.. :)

Anyways, i say what the others said. Lower your own resulution, do a little test frapsing and you'll see it will get better!

fraps probably rejected it for not being worth its time or effort

mxn i hope you understand the differance from playing in full-screen and recording in full-mode

if you have the half-mode option checked in fraps you will hardly get any lag from recording, but it will be blurry since it records in half (or 1/4 in total) the resolution you use ingame. fullmode only works with some resolutions with or without dualcores as said, but unless you got a pretty new comp it will lag you down ingame.

or he is turning it off accidently immedietly after he starts recording when he head butts the Keyboard to chamber dump.

Im trying to record in 1024x768 windows mode
Fraps is set too full-mode
The qua of the recordings are coming out like they have been rendered with shit codec

might just be your playback-program that is shit/missing codecs

when i watch frapsclips with mediaplayer on my maincomp, its fine, but on the second it looks like crap...

safest bet is to open them with virtualdub, then you should see what quality they really have

I had problems with this while running fraps 2.2 or 2.5, then I updated to 2.8 and I can record fullscreen 1280/1024 mode (but yes, dualcore pc :m00: ).
