WHat about with every game forum.... have Sub folders e.g.
General
Suggestions
Tactics
Problems

Would clean up the forums a little and be a bit mroe organised when trying to find some information :)

Thats actually not a bad idea Zey.
We get a little nervous adding more and more forums, as they do get a bit muddled, but perhaps that would have the opposite effect.
Whats everyone else think?

dont agree with you Zey.
First of all largest reason why people post is caus they have a problem. For suggestions I would rather say get something like
anouncement sticky but so that the forum user can use it.

Though what might be an idea is to put league forums as subfolders.

well some might, also didn't mean make it a sticky but rather something else. But it has to get the attention. If it is abused bt someone give that person a temp ban

Nooooooo please keep stickys to a minimum and only worthwhile ones at that, Kez's springs to mind but glancing at the list of threads when I arrived it seems someone didn't bother looking. Yup yet another hi I'm new here thread :( bloody hell has lurking gone out of fashion or something.

/edit just read the thread and thought hey wtf lets all be nice

Just want to say the whole idea of having a single loggin for people is excilent for leagues .

Its hard enough getting players to register with just the site let alone a forum aswell .

Maybe this will see more activity in BW league forums, I hope so :)

Combining user accounts makes perfect sense. Let's hope it goes well.

Any chance of using a more recent vBulletin for the forums? I like the Quick-Reply feature of version 2.2.2 (or thereabouts). That's all. That's my argument. I like it. I expect it installed before the weekend.

I think there are too many forums tbh. There are quite a few that aren't used... ever. Not even for spam o_O

When you mentioned you'll 'come to that at the time of the transfer' in regards to differences between forum usernames and membership usernames; does it mean they actually will change in the long run? Mine's different, y'see.

Bugger me (its not a request, its merely a statement of suprise), I got a reply already.
DBs has just moved house in a bit of a hurry after some nasty person sold the rented house he was living in.

10 We're still laughing.
20 He isnt.
30 goto 10

Anyway, he's now on dialup and the air is thick with swearing as a result. This also means he cant tackle any non-essential large tasks without making us all suffer every 5k/sec moment with him via the shit-connect-tolerant medium that is irc. His DSL is on order, and I've sacrificed an image of Wij to the gods of DSL installations in the hope that the service will be installed PDQ and the air will be returned to a colour other than blue.

Upgrading our forums is a bit of a task, as we've dicked with them so much. I mean upgraded. You know I meant upgraded, of course you did.
Maybe he'll do the smilies then too? ;)

We'll simply explain how it works at the time. 1 confusion at a time.

The smilies still need to go. Though we're all acknowledging its not going to happen. Ever, because it'd result in one too many curses for DBs.

It'd be nice to have a cookie option to automatically tick Disable smilies, ala the show signiture one, but thats a pipe-dream.

The quick reply would be nice if it didn't slow pageviews down, as they're already reasonably wibbly-slow.

Anyway; I think combining the systems is wonderfully pointless, though it won't stop you :)
