I read these forums quite regularly when I get a minute at work, although I tend not to post an awful lot unlike a few of the regulars here on FH.
Just read another post with 5 star rating where you get the same general trend, regular FH Forum monkeys who act like a pack of wolfs tbh and jump on any new person who posts here, and then people wonder why these boards have started to decline.
Why cant people just converse on these boards without the need to act with some kind of superiority complex and flame any potential newcomers to the boards, im sure there are many that read these board just like I do, but don’t bother posting here cause of all the people flexing there e-peens.
There are many mature adults that play this game, but please remember there are still a lot of younger ones too.
Go ahead flame away.

Well said, I have been going through a lot of flames and insults but now with RR8 people realized that I am the best Sorc in ze world, so there is justice. Late, but justified!

Whilst the first couple of times it can be damn funny, some folks just don't know when to stop. Some of the same old bullshit, spouted by teh same old faces gets old...

Not built for, but they're what people have learned to use them for. Lets face it, forums are a great place to talk utter shite and hide behind the anonimity of a virtual name and identity, safe in the knowledge that those you insult don't know who you are or where you are and can do nothing about it...

I doubt even half the folks here would be so openly agressive and insulting to those they 'flame' if they were face to face...

Maybe some of you dont remember, or werent around. But back in Euro beta there were offical euro boards, on the www.camelot-europe.com website. now GOA did a very smart thing, and took them down.

why?

Because forums. attract. flaming.

flaming scares off potential customers, so they took the boards down, sure theyve got these ones here at freddys house, but thats a pretty much perfect solution. it means GOA officials have somewhere to post, but they can also say "well these boards arent official so.." if something goes wrong.

As for flaming, well call it what you want to be honest.. whether its just a bunch of ego nerds battling it out, or attention seeking board whoring.. either way i quite like flame posts. They're entertaining. I'm by nature an argumentative person, so i actually enjoy arguing with people. ask anyone in #prydwen.stealthers, we've had like two seperate full scale arguments about tea...
