I did a web page for my uni course and although I thought it was crap I got 96% (blowing me trumpet now). Only done in HTML though - doing Java next - suppose you guys know it already?
I've made a wicked one for a local theatre. Has a forum too. About to start one for a masseuse/aromatherapy company. Not telling you where they are, though as then you'll know my real name and I'll get plagued by phone calls from j00 l0$3rs.

perl is a stand-alone language. the fact that you can use it for some web purposes shows just how robust it is. php is [their own words] a hypertext preprocessor [used to be called personal home page] that extends some of the functionality of html. they are both cool, but there is no denying that perl is more all round. a smart developer knows when to use what iyfm.
