formula for evade

don´t know if others has posted it, but I just spend 10 minutes typing on another forum so I thought I´d sahre the fruit of my labours with you

formula for evade is as follows

EVA = 5 for each level of evade
DOD= 3 for each level of dodger

the ' is to be ignored they are there because stupid forum wont let me do lots of blank spaces in a row

final result is in %

thats the formula ive always used.

exactly the same formula mate, I just made it a little easiere to read for non math people

but your chances of evading depend also on how many people are attacking you, and their weapskill?

Well i've been wondering should i get Dodger 1-2 for my Friar... When he hits 50, won't he cap with that Qui + Evade V? Gonna wear epic until i got enough money farmed to get SC stuff

50% evade cap, believe it or not, does not apply to friars. Meaning your average high RR friar has better evade in practise than your average assassin, despite having 2 levels lower evade.

Also any formula is rather useless without tests to back it up =/
Sanya/Mythic have said twice officially that evade is based off dex+qui and also twice that it's purely based off dex. So wtf we're to think i do NOT know.

btw hoddsy if you look at the numbers used in example you will notice that that wasyour stats the night you taught me the formula

Guess you made it harder for math people I have really hard time reading that... I can understand the other formula much easier

why do people work these things out exactly? i'm not saying its not an impressive achievement. but at the end of the day it doesn't matter what your average dodge rate is if you don't do it when you need to.

Is luck factored into that equasion

that says :
194 = 174 = 17.4 = 48.4 = 48.4%

and you're trying to make it easier?

btw its your 'evadeskill' that caps at 50% NOT your 'evade' afaik

evadeskill is a hidden check Vs weaponskill/bonus to hit/weapon bonus

(ie its why someone will evade u alot less if you use an enchanted weapon)

erm... that example formula.. 201+187 makes 388... and 388 / 2 is 194, NOT 224. So the end result should be 45.4%
