Format c: -> worse? :\

About 1 ½ week ago I formated all my partitions -> reinstalled Windows XP + SP1 + most urgent things from Windows Update, used same GFX drivers (nVIDIA 44.03), same modem drivers (automatic from XP - haven't found any newer ones on internet (E-Tech Bullet E56K v90)) and also same DirectX 9.0b. The two things that I changed (that I can come to think of..) is that I flashed BIOS and installed nVIDIA media center.

Now - after this I could never connect to anything higher than 33.6kbit/s even though I most often reached ~45kbit/s earlier. Also after doing a fresh install of DAoC: SI and patching I found the game much more laggy, and I could compare 33.6 lag as I had played on that for roughly 2 months as well. Game sometimes decides to freeze 1 sec with set intervals and most often gives me yellow FPS on performance bar which I never experienced before formation...

Now..my system is a P4 2.5 GHz, ASUS P4PE motherboard, 512 Mb DDR (cas 2.5) ram, Leadtek GF 4 4200 so I find it strange to have such bad performance overall..

And it's even worse if I try to run 2 copies of SI - get gfx bug as soon as second account becomes active and lag of 10+ seconds - same thing there...no big problem doing that earlier either..

Is there anyone reading these forums that think they could help me with this problem? Would be really grateful!

Thank you for reading this!

Did you reinstall motherboard drivers? Sounds like you've forgotten something like that.
