And to those who cba reading that boring book for a bookreport, here's your answer:

http://www.sparknotes.com/ This has helped me lots! Search for almost any book and it will most likely have some results and pretty much done the job for you, but it's also great if you're just stuck :)

Didn't have anything to do, so while I am doing my bookreport on MacBeth I thought I'd post this to hopefully help others in the near future..

Enjoy :D

Umm...how about doing the job that's appointed to you? :eek7:

I'm not saying i like schoolwork, hell, all schools suck big donkey peanuts, but it's still training for the job world too.

I wouldn't like anyone doing a job halfassed.

Just saying.

Plus it's always better to do stuff yourself, rewards more, but if this is the cake you like, you eat it :)

I'll admit it usually isn't much fun - although it can be, if you get a good selection of books and an interesting assignment -, but they have to check you've read it somehow.

Also: read the book. It won't kill you.

1) It's a she :(

2) Yes, she makes me and the rest of my class do book reports

And you try chewing through MacBeth in ol' English! Eventho it's Shakespear and bla bla, I was really bored trying to read this! :m00:

*cough* turning 19 this saturday *cough*

Edit: Why are everybody on my back for not wanting to read a book? The last time any of you guys read a book was probably last summer or something :D

umm last time i read a book? finished pride and prejudice yesterday afternoon, started hannibal rising last night oh and i keep a copy of shakesperes complete works by my bed just for fun because i totally love his work.

However... thankyou for the link because for my extended english assignment we have to pick stuff that has been critiqued by others and write about our findings, so it isn't just a case of read a book and write about it, its read some material, find things that others have written about said material and write about their opinions and add your own.

Tbh though you prolly should just read Mcbeth one day just for enjoyment, I know reading stuff for English class kind of sucks the enjoymeny out of most books because you have to analyse the word usage and sentence structuring etc etc and tbh when i read something i read it for enjoyment (unless its a factual book but I only read those for research) I seem to have found a fool proof way of getting top mark for my english assignments though, you just think of what your opinion of the item is.. then fluff it up by oh say about 70% before you put a word down stop and think if there are any words you know that mean exactly the same thing but are longer and sound more pretentious, basically write like a real soppy prat and for some reason the english teachers seem to love it.

however someone made the mistake of doing this in history and they got a big red circle round their words with an arrow and the word "UG!" then at the end the tutor said it was pious waffle and purple prose lol

You only cheat yourself, if you can't be arsed doing it just read a book for a 4 year old should not take you more then a couple of days since the 4 year olds can do it in a few hours. Then write something about it.

Wouldn't critiques from professional literature critics/a literature magazine be better for this?
